A beautifully situated farmhouse in an excellent location, close to Shrewsbury and the A5/M54 yet positioned in a peaceful setting by the river Severn. The property forms part of the Longner Estate, 2.5m south-east of Shrewsbury. Immediately to the east of the estate is Haughmond Hill and to the south-east, the adjoining Attingham Park Estate. Preston on Severn is a small hamlet that consists of several other attractive rural dwellings and The Ferry House is located off its own drive about 1/2mile from the hamlet of other properties. There are excellent transport links from the property by both road and rail along with Birmingham Airport also in reaching distance.
The property in brief comprises Front entrance door into hallway with office, cloakroom, storage cupboards and stairs to first floor level. Door to the large fitted kitchen with dining area having space for a large kitchen table. The kitchen has a range of fitted base and wall mounted units and a central island. An integrated dishwasher and fridge are installed along with a large electric range cooker with duel ovens and extractor above. A rear entrance door to a stone paved entertaining patio area and parking sweep which is used daily. The utility room contains the oil fired boiler and space and plumbing for a washing machine, dryer and freestanding fridge freezer. From the hallway, this leads through to the living room which has duel aspect widows and French doors which open up to the patio area. A ‘Clearview’ wood burning stove within a brick surround & timber mantel completes the room and provides a lovely ‘homely’ feel.
At first floor level, there are four bedrooms off the landing, one with an en-suite shower room and the family bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The fourth bedroom would be a single in size.
