Description

Location
Hunkington Farm provides a rare opportunity to rent a yard of well-built traditional stables, within two self-contained buildings, and with a storage barn and other equestrian facilities on site in the picturesque area of Upton Magna, near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The property will provide an attractive rural setting to keep horses for a range of purposes.

The main building is self-contained, and consists of a dutch-style barn and steel portal framed building, with roller-shutter door and electricity/water supplied. The second building consists of a traditional brick and mortar constructed building with archway, slate roof with 5 stables within.

Accommodation
Shared accommodation is available by separate negotiation consists of a second-story bedsit within the main traditional farmhouse, providing shared living with the family. We are advised that the cost of lodging is £80.00 per week.

External Facilities
The yard is accessed from the road at two points; to the front of the traditional farmhouse is a drive into the main yard – gated access leads to a hard-standing yard. The second access point is directly opposite to the self-contained barn, if required.

The facility is let with the shared use of a conveniently located 25m x 45m floodlit combi-ride surface ménage. The landlord maintains the ménage (manure to be removed by tenants after use).

Land
The turnout areas equating to 10.00 acres (4.04 hectares) are shown edged and hatched in purple on the land plan. The land is divided into adequately sized turnout paddocks, with permanent electric fencing. There is water supplied. Additionally there is ample hard-standing space for horsebox parking if required.

Stables
The stabling facilities at Hunkington Farm consist of a modern steel portal frame building and adjoining dutch barn, with partitioned stabling within (5 boxes). The stabling benefits from a large barn which could be used for storage of haylage and bedding. The second stable block (further 5 stables) stands within a traditionally constructed building, with concrete block walled partitions and wooden doors.

Outriding
Due to the excellent rural location, the outriding is good with country lanes and bridle paths locally.
